2.1 Using our site

- You must use the site lawfully. Don't misuse it (e.g., introduce malware, attempt unauthorised access, data scraping beyond what's permitted, or disrupt others' use).

- All content on this site is owned by us or our licensors. You may view, print, and share links for personal, non commercial use only. Any other use requires our written permission.

- We may link to other sites. We're not responsible for their content or policies.

3. Ticketing — Terms and Conditions of Sale
3.1 Contract and parties
- Tickets are sold by Festival of Cricket ("FOC", "we", "our" or "us") as the event organiser. Your contract is with the FOC.
- These Ticketing Terms apply to all ticket purchases made at the gates or VIP Hospitality tickets pre-purchased through our member volunteers.
3.2 Age restrictions
- Some event areas (e.g., Bar, VIP Hospitality Marquee) may have age restrictions. Check event page before purchase. Valid ID may be required, where applicable.
3.3 Pricing and Resale
- Prices are shown for each ticket variety as indicated as face value.
- Complimentary tickets are not for sale under any circumstances.
- Pre-purchased VIP hospitality tickets may be resold or transferred upon notifying FOC.
3.4 Restrictions on use
- Each Ticket grants a revocable licence to attend the event.
- Guests must surrender their entry ticket at the ticket counter to receive a wristband.
- Guests must surrender their complimentary car park ticket at the ticket counter.
- Drivers are required to possess a separate valid entry ticket in order to access the premises.
- Wristbands must remain clearly visible at all times within the premises.
- General entry tickets must not be used for promotions (e.g. leaflet distribution), or competitions (e.g. unauthorised raffles) without our written consent.
3.5 Lost, stolen, or damaged VIP Hospitality Tickets
- Contact us as soon as possible. Replacement is subject to verification.
3.6 Opening Hours
- Event grounds will be open to public access on the event day from 9:00 am and the grounds close at 9:00 pm.
- Any unauthorized person remaining in the grounds after 9:00 pm will be requested to leave immediately by our event security personnel.
3.7 Event entry and security
- Admission is subject to venue terms, possible ID checks, and security searches.
- You must comply with ground regulations and steward instructions.
- We may refuse or remove any person for safety, security, intoxication, disorderly conduct, or breach of terms; no refund if you're at fault.
- Event attendees must comply with all enhanced security measures, emergency evacuations, invacuations, or lockdown procedures implemented in accordance with counter-terrorism protocols. We hereby give all attendees prior notice that entry may be subject to extensive security checks and that failure to comply will result in immediate ejection without refund.
3.8 Prohibited items and conduct
- Typical prohibitions include: weapons, fireworks/flares/smoke bombs, illegal substances, bringing in alcohol, glass bottles, professional cameras/recording, drones, large flags/banners, and items restricted by the venue or local law.
- Prohibited items include "disposable vapes", "laser pens", "air horns", and "nitrous oxide (laughing gas)" anywhere within the event grounds.
- No unauthorised commercial activity, filming/streaming, or data capture.
3.9 Weather and Cricket Game format
- Cricket is weather dependent. Start times, overs, and formats may change. Read the event page (cricket rules and guidance section) for competition specific rules on curtailed play.
3.10 Postponement, abandonment, and cancellation
- FOC reserves the right to postpone, abandon or cancel the event entirely if there are unavoidable circumstances.
- If an event is postponed, FOC will make every effort to announce and inform attendees well in advance as practical. Please check our website for announcements before you book your travel.
- Due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., rain, fire or another incident), the event or the play can be curtailed or abandoned. FOC organising committee will make every effort to take the best decision, taking into account the health and safety of the attendees, players and volunteer and non-volunteer staff.
3.11 Force Majeure
- FOC is not liable for failure to perform obligations due events beyond our reasonable control. However, we will comply with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if the event is entirely cancelled.
- Here, unforeseeable circumstances may include extreme weather, pandemics, national mourning, strikes, or acts of terrorism.
3.12 Accessibility
- We aim to make the event accessible. Contact us before purchasing tickets to discuss accessible entry and reasonable adjustments. Where a complimentary companion ticket is requested, reasonable evidence of eligibility may be required.
- Please contact FOC organisers in advance to apply for a free personal assistant/carer ticket. FOC will make every reasonable effort to accommodate requests made closer to the event date, subject to capacity and safety constraints.
3.13 Hospitality and packages
- Hospitality/package inclusions are as described on the event page. As we offer a set-menu, you must check dietary and allergy information before serving and consuming food or drinks. Please ask the service personnel if further information is required. Service levels may vary by venue.
3.14 Refunds and method
- Refunds are available only in the circumstances described in clauses 3.14.2 to 3.14.5.
- If an event is cancelled before the event day, all pre purchased ticket holders are entitled to a refund of the ticket's face value. Fees and delivery charges will be refunded only where required by law or explicitly stated.
- If an event is postponed, your ticket will typically remain valid for the rescheduled date. If you can't attend, we may offer a refund or exchange, as set out on the event page or by announcement.
- FOC will not refund day entry tickets if at least one first round match has been completed, nor will it refund VIP hospitality tickets or event day car parking tickets if the event has commenced and been partly completed but is later abandoned or curtailed due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., rain, fire, or other incidents).
- Refunds are issued to VIP Hospitality ticket holders for cancellation or significant material alteration of the purchased VIP Hospitality package.
- Approved refunds will be made to the original payment method where possible. Processing times depend on your bank/payment provider.
3.15 Your statutory rights
- Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law (including the Consumer Rights Act, 2015).
- Note: Tickets for specific dated leisure services are exempt from the usual 14 day cooling off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations.
3.16 Liability
- We're not responsible for: travel/accommodation costs, lost enjoyment, or indirect/consequential losses except where such losses arise from our negligence or where liability cannot legally be excluded.
- We will uphold all statutory duties under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015.
3.17 Data protection
- We process personal data per our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection law. Ticket barcodes may be scanned, if applicable; attendance data will not contain any personal information and will only be used for licensing requirements, manging refunds and improve operations.
- We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
- Your data, if collected, will be retained only for a 30 day period for the purposes for which it was collected (e.g., event administration, legal compliance), unless retention is specifically requested by law enforcement officials.
3.18 Contact and complaints

3.19 Governing law
- These Ticketing Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have non exclusive jurisdiction.
4. Event T&Cs: Ground/Venue Regulations
- Follow posted ground regulations and PA/steward instructions at all times.
- Checks will be made at the entrance, for age under the Entry and Exit policy for the protection of children from harm. Children under the age of 16 will be required to be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.
- Admission may be refused to people who are drunk and or disorderly or are identified as "excluded" under the dispersal policy.
- Checks will be made to exclude prohibited items including alcohol, use of glass bottles, on individuals and or a number of persons, or vehicles to maintain a protective and safe environment for the Guests within the premises. Bags may be searched; entry may be denied for refusal.
- A zero-tolerance policy is followed and actioned as appropriate, towards people who are persistently disruptive and or unruly on the Grounds, which may result in them being dispersed and or ejected from the venue.
- Entry and exit for vehicles are allowed only through the main gate via Forest Road. Re-Entry is not allowed. Car park will be closed at 9 pm.
- Strictly no pitch incursion. Offenders will be ejected and may be prosecuted.
- Alcohol service at the bar follows Challenge 25 and venue rules; proof of age may be requested and intoxicated individuals may be refused service/admission.
- Consumption of alcohol by people under 18 years of age, including buying alcohol for children by adults, is an offence and strictly prohibited.
- Smoking and vaping only allowed in the designated areas.
- Photography for personal use only; no commercial use without permission from the FOC.
- All day entry tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- The venue may operate standard CCTV (used for safety and crime prevention) where lawful and signposted.
5. Event Specific Policy for Weather/Abandonment
- Please read Cricket rules and guidelines for changes and abandonment.
- FOC reserves the right to make the final decision on above variations to the standard cricketing format.
6. Media Policy
6.1 Social Media Followers
Interaction on Social Media
- When you follow or interact with any of our social media accounts, we may receive personal data that you have made publicly available on your profile. This may include your account name, gender, general interests, location, and age. You may also choose to communicate with us directly or submit content through these platforms. Our legal basis for processing this personal data is our legitimate interest in managing our social media presence and providing content that is relevant to our followers, in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR.
Data Uses
- Personal data obtained through social media platforms will be processed strictly within the scope of the platform's own terms, conditions, and technical functionality. We will use this data to operate, monitor, and improve our social media channels and to respond to communications you initiate.
Data Sharing
- We are not responsible for the terms, policies, or data processing activities of third party social media providers. FOC will not sell, rent, or otherwise commercially exploit your personal data. We will not share your information with any third party except: where required to operate our social media accounts or associated platform tools, where necessary to provide our services and/or products to you, where required to administer your account or respond to your communications, or where disclosure is required by law or regulatory obligation.
- Any third parties engaged to support our social media operations will be bound by appropriate contractual safeguards to ensure compliance with applicable data protection legislation.
7. Privacy Policy and Cookies
- We collect and process personal data only where necessary for organising the festival, administering ticket sales, meeting legal obligations and ensuring the safety of attendees. We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. - The event premises operate standard CCTV for attendee safety and security purposes, and footage will be retained only for 30 calendar days unless retention is specifically requested by law enforcement officials.
- Our Photographers, appointed by FOC, take general crowd photographs throughout the event day. These images will be used by FOC strictly for event promotional purposes only. Photographs may be used in press releases, printed publicity and published on FOC Facebook Page and Marketing materials. Explicit consent will be sought for prominent, targeted photography and close-up shots of individuals or families, if those are to be used in FOC publicity material.
- We will retain payment transaction records for a limited period as required by law (e.g., transaction records 6 years for HMRC).
- 7FOC will not share any details of attendees or vendors according to international transfers safeguards (e.g. UK IDTA, SCCs).
8. General Legal Provisions
- If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
- These Terms constitute the entire agreement between FOC and the ticket holder relating to attendance at the Event.
- We may amend these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be published on our website.
- No waiver of any provision of this Agreement shall be effective unless made in writing and signed by the waiving party. The failure of either party to enforce any right or provision of this Agreement shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision or any other right or provision.
9. Changes to this Document
We review the FOC General Terms and Conditions regularly to ensure ongoing compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements. If we make changes, we will update this page and, where appropriate, place notices on other pages of our website and issue announcements on our social media platforms.
Where changes materially affect how we use your personal data, we will provide you with clear and timely notice so that you remain informed about the information we collect and how it is processed.
