Community

Our Promise

FOC is not just an organisation. We are a community. We have a principled commitment to be a benefit to the wider community and to work with everyone in the community through an inclusive ethos that resonates with our values and objectives. Our community service is varied and not exclusive to cricket or sports. We do things differently and we all go above and beyond in achieving that.

Enhancing Talent through Community Cricket

We know through experience that cricket can be a powerful and lasting component of a young person’s learning and development, bringing wider educational and social benefits. FOC supported by ECB and county Cricket clubs aim to get more children involved in the game of cricket across the country.

Education Development

In addition to supporting medical donations, the participating OBAs too are given the chance to help their schools in the avenues of education, sports and facilities back in Sri Lanka.

Cancer Relief Sri Lanka

Our Charity foundation makes significant and meaningful contribution to cancer hospitals across Sri Lanka every year. Through our Cancer Relief Sri Lanka programme, we have been able to provide the supplies and equipment needed to save and improve the quality of life for thousands of patients to help stay well and get better faster.

Anthony Nolan

Anthony Nolan is the charity that makes lifesaving connections between people with blood cancer and incredible strangers ready to donate their stem cells. We are proud to be part of this invaluable charity, not only through our annual donations but also by finding stem donors from our very own community.

Cancer Research UK

Cancer research is the world largest charity dedicating to saving lives through research. FOC charity foundation is proud to be partner with Cancer Research UK, supporting their mission to raise funds to help beat cancer.

Festival of Cricket Supports Cancer Care in Batticaloa

Our continuous effort to provide essential support across Sri Lanka through our cancer relief projects was once again focused on the Batticaloa district, with essential equipment donated to Teaching Hospital Batticaloa.
The Festival of Cricket donated Rs.2 million worth of equipment to support the hospital's recent initiative to close critical gaps in their resources. This will help provide high quality care and treatment to patients battling cancer, many of whom come from underprivileged backgrounds.
Our representatives, Mr. Niyas Mohamed, Mr. S. Balamurali and Mr. Wasantha Perera attended the occasion along with the hospital staff and the team from the Batticaloa Cancer Society, who coordinated the project.
