FOC 2018 Donates Rs.1M worth medical equipment to Apeksha Hospital Maharagama
On the 8th January 2018, the Charity Chairman of Festival of Cricket 2018 visited the Apeksha Hospital Maharagama. During this meeting, Dr. Nishan Siriwardene, Consultant Oncologist acknowledged the FOC donation of five Terumo Infusion Pumps to help the treatment of Cancer patients. Dr. B I Kurukasuriya, the Director of Apeksha Hospital - Maharagama sent a formal letter, acknowledging this FOC’s donation. The total cost for the equipments was approximately 1000,000 SLRupees (apx - 5000GBP). A representative from the supplier, Hemas, Drugs Private Ltd was also present at the meeting The Pumps were delivered and installed by the suppliers along with onsite training facilities to the hospital staff at no extra costs to the donation.
