34th Annual General Meeting of the Festival of Cricket 2024
The 34th Annual General Meeting of the Festival of Cricket 2024 took place on Sunday, 6th October 2024, at the London Post Office Sports Club, Greenford Road, Harrow HA1 3QL. The outgoing President, Mr. Kasun Waduge, mentioned that 2024 was a challenging year but ultimately we managed to deliver very successful event, with the highest number of attendees. He extended unreserved gratitude to the Chief Guest - The High Commissioner for Sri Lanka in the UK, Guests of Honour, the members OBAs, Members of the Executive Committee, Committee Chairmen, Sponsors, Advertisers, Management of the Hainault Recreation Grounds, Stallholders, Guests, and all Helpers.
The following office bearers were elected as new Executive Officers for 2024/25:- Chinthaka Wickramasinghe, Hon. President, Kingswood College, Kandy
- Umendra Tillekeratne, Hon. Secretary, Mahanama College, Colombo
- Nisanka Rodrigo, Hon. Treasurer, St Joseph Vaz College, Wennapuwa
The new President, Mr. Chinthaka Wickramasinghe, expressed his thanks to the members of OBAs for electing him. Addressing the members, he stated that his success had been a result of unwavering support of many members, chairmen, and advisors. He committed to continuing to leverage his experience and achievements to repeat the recent success story of the FOC while upholding FOC core values and best practices.
From our humble beginnings to the thriving organization we are today, we have grown together, overcome challenges and make a positive impact on wider community. As we approach a significant milestone, our 35th anniversary on 6th July 2025, we are committed to deliver a successful event this year.
