The 31st Annual General Meeting of the Festival of Cricket (FOC) 2019 was held on Sunday, 29 September 2019 at the London Post Office Sports Club, Greenford Road, Harrow HA1 3QL.
In his address, the outgoing President, Mr Kapila Malikarachige, reflected on what had been a challenging year, while expressing pride that the FOC event held on 7 July 2019 had been a success. He extended his sincere gratitude to the Chief Guest, the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to the United Kingdom, the Guests of Honour, member OBAs, Executive Committee members, Committee Chairmen, sponsors, advertisers, the management of Hainault Recreation Ground, stallholders, guests and all volunteers who contributed to the success of the event.
The following were unanimously appointed as Executive Officers for 2019/20:
- President: Mr Wasantha Perera (St Joseph Vaz College)
- Secretary: Mr Konesh Govindarajah (Methodist Central College)
- Treasurer: Mr Kasun Waduge (Thurstan College)
Prince of Wales College OBA UK was also admitted as an Associate Member of the Festival of Cricket.
The newly elected President, Mr Wasantha Perera, thanked the member OBAs for placing their confidence in him. He assured members that he would serve with fairness and dedication, and encouraged all OBAs to fully cooperate in ensuring the successful delivery of the 2020 Festival of Cricket.
